Anyone who filled up over the weekend might take interest in this recent release from the company…

PRESS RELEASE

CHRYSLER LLC RESPONDS TO CUSTOMER AND DEALER FEEDBACK, EXTENDS $2.99 GAS GUARANTEE FOR 2ND MONTH

* Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge dealers’ feedback drives mid-month extension of new incentive program
* Consumer interest high for the Let’s Refuel America program as average gas price in U.S. rises to $3.80
* Alaska, California, Connecticut and Hawaii now average over $4 a gallon

Auburn Hills, Mich. -

Chrysler LLC extended to July 7 the Let’s Refuel America $2.99 gas guarantee program, which offers customers the opportunity to lock in their gasoline purchases at $2.99 a gallon for three years, up to 36,000 miles. The program was launched on May 7 for the month of May only, but extended for a second month in response to dealer and customer demand for additional time.

Even before the full impact of the national and local advertising has been realized, the Let’s Refuel America program already has created a high level of word-of-mouth consumer awareness, with increased traffic coming into Chrysler’s 3,511 dealerships and onto its Web sites. After one week, Chrysler’s Web site activity is up 25 percent versus the previous week, with internet leads increasing by 34 percent.

“Customers and dealers across America have told us they like the gas guarantee incentive option, so we are providing a second month for shoppers to take advantage of it,” said Jim Press, Chrysler LLC Vice-Chairman and President. “Let’s Refuel America, the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty and the New Day Packages are all examples of our commitment to deliver more value and peace-of-mind to our customers.”

‘Tis the Season: Check Out Turn Four, Auction Winners and More…

A look into the action on Turn 4…

Not to interrupt the launch talk, but I thought I’d share some thoughts
from last weekend.

The Dodge Challenger 500 was a great time. While we love winning races
at Dodge, a close second was watching the Hemi Orange Dodge Challengers
pace the field. These modern day power machines looked particularly
hott under the lights Saturday night. We hosted the three kind hearted
winners of the 3 Challenger auctions. These good guys paid a combined
$800,000 for the special cars #1, #2 and #43 which benefited the United
Way, NotmyKid and Victory Junction Camp charities. Dodge is proud to
have partnered with these philanthropists and these great charities.
They each had the chance to do hot laps on the Darlington Race Track in
Challengers! And they succeeded in not striping any walls! The Dodge
product display was a hot bed of activity all weekend. The stars of the
show were two 2009 TorRed Challenger SRT8’s. A lot of the crowd
got in to the action, check out this picture of the grandstand in turn
4, taken just before the race!

Also drawing a crowd was our 2.99 Gas Guarantee program that fixes
gasoline or diesel fuel prices at 2.99 for 3 years. Checkout our
Dodge.com or see your friendly
neighborhood Dodge dealer for program details.

It’s Official: 2009 Challenger Orders Begin, Dodge Listens and Acts on Your Advice

Great news!!

Well everyone, long-awaited news! The ordering has opened up for the 2009 Challenger SRT8 and R/T models. That’s right, you can finally order up your favorite ‘09 Challenger and expect delivery as soon as late Summer. More info on the 2009 here

Best of all, for those of us that thought we missed Hemi Orange on the SRT8 model, Dodge has listened to us and added it to the option list! Yes, you are hearing me right, Mike Accavitti (Director of Dodge and SRT) and Mark Mallie (Dodge Brand Manager) are listening and these guys got it done!

I know that it doesn’t sound like it should be that big of a deal to add a paint color that already exists in the plant, but there is a lot more to it (After plans to not offer it, no less) than meets the eye. I’m not going to get into the details, but just know that it took a lot of extra work for a lot of people (in particular, these two guys) to make it happen. We are extremely lucky to have a couple of “Car Guys” at the head of Dodge who care about the Challenger and what we all want as much as we do. They are listening, and that is proof.

The ordering will open on the SE model shortly. When it opens up, I will post it.

Pricing on all models will follow soon, so stay tuned for that announcement as well.

Don’t forget, if anyone takes delivery on their ‘08, post a comment and let us all know.

Exciting times!!

Bob

Raffle Offers Chance to Win This ‘08 Challenger SRT8

May 12, 2008 at 6:31AM Kevin Anderson

Production has begun on the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 in Brampton, Ontario.

Hi again from Kokomo! I think you might remember my past post introducing our Charity Raffle to win a 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 (you can read it here.) I just came back from a journey to the Northern country, specifically a trip to Brampton, Ontario to check out the manufacturing of the new Challenger. What a journey. I was able to watch our charity raffle car being built. As it started down body-in-white and all the way through the final assembly line. I was fortunate to see some of the first cars being built, what a wonderful sight. It was almost comparable to my wife giving birth to our four children. She might not agree, but from a muscle car fanatic this was the ultimate.

Be sure to check out our new Web site for your chance to win this vehicle! It’s at http://challenger.americasfirstcar.com tracking the charity Challenger. Also I would like to share a few pictures that I took of our vehicle at the Brampton plant.
