Sunday, July 11, 2010, Alton, Virginia.—Ryan Schimsk won Dodge Viper Cup Race 2 during the inaugural Dodge Viper Cup weekend at Virginia International (VIR), Alton, Va.
Schimsk blasted from pole position to a convincing lead over second place Ben Keating by the end of the second lap. He was never challenged, finishing four seconds clear of Keating. Keith Verges made a lightning-quick start from third on the grid, jumping ahead of Keating, but lost time when he went wide in turn two and dropped to fifth. He was quickly back in third behind Keating, where he remained to the end of the race. “I got a really good start but went too deep into turn two and had to go wide into the marbles. Ben (Keating) and two others got by before I could collect the car and go on,” said Verges.
“I got back behind Keating, but couldn’t do more than that.” He finished two seconds back in third place.
“Keith (Verges) got way in front and all I could do is get close and hope,” said Keating. His hopes were rewarded soon after when Verges went wide and had to slow, letting him by into second where he finished.

The next two Dodge Viper Cup races are at the Hallet Motor Racing Circuit, Jennings, Okla., August 14 and 15, 2009.

I see Carl Edwards hits Brad Keselowski from behind almost killing him to win another race and nothing happens to him. He steals the win from Penske Dodge at the Nationwide Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers 250. Unbelieveable how they can get away with this. If a Dodge did something like this then they would lose 1000 points and be fined a million dollars. I can see why the attendance is down at NASCAR by almost 50% this year. Our family hasn’t attended a race for over a year and we used to go to five or six every year. I think its time to bring in the demolition derby cars.

I love watching Dodges race and win, especially when they are the underdog with very few cars on the track. I think the effort the Penske teams have put into racing this year is phenomenal.
Great show and excitement for the few Dodge fans left who attend or watch on T.V. But,
like someone else stated here on this blog, with very few cars on the track, it’s easy to have all of your cars taken out in a crash early in a race. Then there’s nothing left to do but leave the race early or turn off the T.V. Carl Edwards is a dirtbag. Pure and simple. He can’t buy a win this year in cup. To wreck the faster car and points leader like he did at the end of that race is just pure dirt. If roush is pushing him to do this stuff for wins then he is out of his mind. Now if Nascrap thinks this is O.K. then lets see someone put Harvick into the fence, or someone should have been putting Johnson into the wall the last 4 years. Why didn’t someone put junior into the wall for the win a couple of races ago, when they obviously gave him a win due to the fact he was driving the number 3 car. When you see stuff like that happening, you know it’s no different then the WWE, and why spend any money to watch it. What a circus!

A picture of the redesigned 2011 Challenger front end. Boy this took a lot of time to create.
http://jalopnik.com/5587790/the-2011-dodge-challenger-is-sad?skyline=true&s=i I just hope they get a little more creative. Lets put a ‘cuda grille on it or something.

Here’s a look at the redesigned 2011 Charger.

I like the look, however, is there a lot of front end resemblance to the Mitsu Lancer?
Definately has a more sculpted body, and more agressive look.
