Didn’t find what you wanted under the tree this holiday? Well, it looks like 2010 is already coming up roses, as the good folks at Mopar have come up with a couple ways for you to treat yourself, enhancing the Dodge Challenger with two new option packages to add to your car’s muscle. The new exterior performance appearance package ($1,995) includes a unique hood with scoop, rear “Go-Wing” spoiler, strobe stripe performance graphics, and car cover. But that’s not all — you can also customize your Challenger with an interior appearance package that features stainless steel pedals and door-sill guards, premium embroidered carpet floor mats, and a chromed T-handle shifter ($945 automatic, $780 manual). Both are available on SE and R/T models in TorRed, Bright Silver Metallic, Brilliant Black Chrystal, and Bright White. See more photos after the jump.

Why do you have to pay an additional 2 grand for a hood with a scoop. You can purchase these Mopar parts yourself and have them painted and installed for less. In that way, you would still have the original hood. This is a rip off.

Can you offer the hood in flat black with a T/A stripe instead of the half AAR ‘cuda stripe? Now that would be a good combination. It would be easier and cheaper for you because you could paint all the hoods and rear deck spoilers flat black ahead of time and then bolt them on after the cars are painted. This could reduce the cost of the option. And can you offer them in sublime, plum crazy, corporation blue, hemi orange, top banana, etc.? Think about it.

Westcoast R/T, love your photos! You can upload them to our Flickr page if you want. It’s on the right side of this page…

Not digging the stripe at all….. It needs to be a classic challenger stripe, and not a semi AAR stripe
January 7, 2010 @ 11:10 pm
It needs the T/A stripe to match the T/A hood.

Thanks RLD for cranking out new options and keeping us informed. I agree with the request to offer a flat black hood and rear spolier.
January 8, 2010 @ 7:39 pm
T/A you got that combination right. Flat black hood and rear spoiler with the side T/A stripe. Thatz a wild setup and offer it in high impact colors only. No more of this dull blue, silver, black, and white. The Challenger is a sports car for God sake so lets make it sporty. Offer that package is yellow and purple this year and sublime and panther pink next year. Do it!

I agree an R/T style stripe would be better and also think the flat black hood and spoiler would look great!
The most important thing IMO that hasn’t been touched on yet is function. Make that hood scoop functional and you will drastically increase sales of this hood. There are many that love the look but want some type of performance advantage out of it if they are going to spend $$$. Kinda expensive as packaged for all show and no go.

Love the Go-Wing spoiler !! And T-Shifter handle !!! Now,Hemi orange,flat black T/A hood,6.4 Hemi,lowered 1.5 inches in the front,..now we would have something real good !!!!

Cool! !! Wish this package would have been available for my DY Classic. I look forward to a shaker hood option with a pistol grip shifter. Keep these goodies coming! Good job!!!

Thanks for the feedback on the package, guys — and thanks for supporting Dodge.

There has been an immense number of comments on the exterior colors, which means it is very hot topic, which I would agree too. However, don’t forget the interior. How about offering black as an option?
January 15, 2010 @ 7:55 pm
I think a number of us have asked for black interiors. They offered it in some of the Daytona Chargers and the first yellow Super Bees that were offered. That is what made the old Mopar Muscle tough was the black interior. This gray crap just doesn’t cut it. Just think in the 60s and 70s before they had high powered computers, the interiors matched the color of the car. I live in the south where the temperatures climb over the 100 degree mark and a black interior isn’t that much hotter than a gray one. You just crack the windows and never worry about it. We need black interiors for the Challenger! Sublime with a black interior with a flat black T/A hood, flat black rear spoiler, flat black rear window louvers, and big fat tires in the back. I don’t think you could make enough of them to keep up with the demand. The ultimate muscle car!

Love the look!!! Now lets get on board and make a CONVERTIBLE!!!! Chevy has dropped the hammer and the Camaro Vert is Happening.
Don’t let me down guys….Build it and you’ll sell them like crazy

Any chance we’ll see a convertible in 2011-12 time frame??? Also how about a stick for the SE? I prefer a stick over the auto.
February 2, 2010 @ 7:47 pm
