You’ve seen the new SRT10 Viper ACR-X at the PRI show and now on the track, but if you think you’re ready to compete with the big boys, check out the Dodge Viper Cup, an ACR-X-only racing series sanctioned by the Viper Racing League that will debut in July 2010.
On five pulse-pounding weekends, Viper ACR-X drivers will compete at Virginia International Raceway (July 9-11), Hallett Raceway (August 14-15), Pocono Raceway (September 11-12), Miller Motorsports Park (October 1-3), and, for the finale, Daytona International Speedway (October 22-24). But you’ll be racing for more than bragging rights and a shiny trophy: Racers will compete for a total of $200,000 in prize money from Dodge Motorsports and Mopar, with prizes awarded both for individual races ($7,500 for first place) and the overall Dodge Viper Cup: $25,000 for first place, $10,000 for second, and $5,000 for third.
Think you’ve got what it takes to battle a field full of 640hp V-10 beasts? Well, you’re still missing one thing: an ACR-X. Grab the wheel now by calling (888) 960-3333 so you can have your ACR-X in time for the first race on July 9-11. Visit ViperHeadquarters.com for more info.

Will a tamer version of this be available at the dealer?

I guess you answered my question. Spring 2010. Pretty wild. Can you make it street legal by just changing the tires from slicks to street tires? Can you have an off and on switch for emissions so it becomes street legal? Just a thought.

Josh, can you read? Sometimes vehicles that run fast on the track are not street legal and do not follow emission standards, however, like you said, the fastr the bettr..so who cares about emissions. I would rather see Vipers on the street than another Vette. Sell the car as is.

I want to see Vipers racing against Corvettes, Porsche, etc., not against themselves.
