Gas or electric? Which one can haul…um…oats quicker? While not on the order of the chicken/egg conundrum, it’s a valid query.

So, while showing off Chrysler’s three electric vehicles to the west coast media last Friday, ENVI head Lou Rhodes, and Doug Quigley decided to settle the question once and for all.

Rhodes, in the all-electric Dodge EV, and Quigley, in the Challenger, went head to head on 800 scorching feet of asphalt in the massive parking at the famed Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif.

They raced several times. We caught three on camera. Watch the video to see who wins.

This was close to home! I would have loved to have seen the Wrangler EV!
To answer a question, it’s not a Tesla, it’s a Lotus body, for the presentation only.
Most likely the Caravan/Town & Country will be the first ENVI, EV, more sales potential and we need sales!

Boy sure looks like a Tesla. Is Dodge building this or are they getting it from Tesla?

Let’s slop the Challenger body on this thing and we got a winner! The 2010 Challectric, the best of both worlds.

I’m pretty sure it can and did beat the challenger. Lotuses are extremely light. Even the Elise with 190hp does 0-60 in under 5 seconds.

You have got to be kidding me Dodge!!!! I hope dodge was not trying to make a point that the Ev can beat the Challenger. you can here the challenger letting off the gas . Nice try Dodge .

I’m hoping this car gets a dodge makeover (you know, so it doesn’t look like a lotus with a dodge badge) and gets put into production as a Demon or something.

People think of electric and hybrid vehicles as boring appliances or social statements, dodge could be the first mainstream company to come out with a fun enviromentally friendly car. Come on it sells itself!

Welcome

Back in the day, folks referred to holidays as "Red Letter Days" because of their color on calendars. They were times of excitement, tradition and celebration. Well, that's how we feel about the New Dodge and frankly, we've always had a special place in our hearts for red.
