To our readers Up North, we all know 2008 models were very limited and will be collectibles. And for those who ordered one, your piece of the dream is heading to you as fast as we can get them out.

But for everyone else, we’d like to let you know you can go to a dealer and order a 2009 right now.

The basic 2009 pricing in Canada is:

SE $24,995
SXT $26,995
R/T (w/ leather) $34,995

Here’s the note we sent out to dealers over at the Flickr page with a few more details.

Still no action on my 6spd SRT8. It stickered to $54,220 with all options, how does that compare to anyone else with an SRT8 6spd on order? However on the dodge.ca website you can’t select the myGig and SRTII soundgroup option together. Is it a defect on the web site?

If what I saw today is any comfirmation, ’09’s are being built and delivered within Ontario. I was heading southbound on the 400 south of Barrie at around 12:30 pm EST today when I saw an Inferno Red Challenger heading northbound. The colour alone indicated it must be an ‘09…

Most dealers should know. You just need to talk to the right people. We have a Hemi Orange R/T show in C status last week… I’m hoping it will be here before August is over.

CascadianScot - not in Burlington, a little further south– off the 402. If you’re interest or want more information pertaining to anything Challenger in Canada, don’t hesitate to email me.

captalbator, they would have used Imperial, but that is no mistake - Canadian mileage figures have always used Imperial gallons, not US.
SRT ORR, your’re not in Burlington per chance are you? Back on July 4th Fairview Chrysler told me they had an unsold black one due in mid-month.

I have 2000KM on my Challenger and I must say this is the nicest car I have driven in years, great job Chrysler Brampton keep up the good work.

I think that they mistakenly used imperial gallons instead of US gallons.

    8.6 Ltr/100 = 27.35 mpg in US gallons.
    27.35 US gallons / .8327 = 32.845 Imperial Gallons

    Leathal: Could that mean Kilometers/Gallon?

Is it true that the plant that is building the Challenger is shutdown till the first week of August?

I looked at the MPG on the second page. Are those correct? At least in the neighborhood? 33 on the highway for the R/T? I knew the 5.7 Hemi was suppose to get a little more than my 2006, and I get around 25. But that is quite a jump.

Welcome

Back in the day, folks referred to holidays as "Red Letter Days" because of their color on calendars. They were times of excitement, tradition and celebration. Well, that's how we feel about the New Dodge and frankly, we've always had a special place in our hearts for red.
