The #6 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 arrives in Marion, Ind. ready to be raffled off to a lucky ticket holder.

Hi again,

Well, our vehicle showed up on the trailer and we couldn’t have been more excited! I’m hoping to put some video together from the arrival, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Anyway, you can get your shot at winning this car for only $10 by visiting our raffle homepage at http://challenger.americasfirstcar.com and buying a ticket or 10. All proceeds are going to charity, so everybody wins.

It seems like only a few days ago we were watching it be assembled in Brampton (read my post on that here.) I can tell you this car is real, it’s beautiful and it’s #6 of 6,400. The hauler reported being followed by a number of…competing models from other manufacturers. Kind of reminds me of those little fish that tag along the trail of a shark. And after he delivered #6 to our eager team, he made sure to buy a ticket himself. Good luck to everyone!

Update on the Approximately 800 Challengers that are on a shipping hold. The problem has been found and the Dodge engineers have a fix for the cars. The issue is a possible pinch point in the wiring harness that would short and cause the fuse to blow that operates the shifter for the automatic transmission. I would like to thank the Dodge quality team and engineers for catching and fixing this issue before more Challengers hit the streets. There are Approximately 500 cars at Windsor in storage and 300 at the Brampton Plant in storage and receiving the fix. The Plant has had the modification in place since 6/4 pm shift. Car’s will probably begin shipping tonight.

I’m going to Indiana for a visit next week and I am going to go see this and buy some tickets! BTW, last I know Mike Anderson Dodge was in Marion not Kokomo. Transmission plants are in Kokomo along with Button dodge. I’ve already told my son to plan on making a trip to see it!

Welcome

Back in the day, folks referred to holidays as "Red Letter Days" because of their color on calendars. They were times of excitement, tradition and celebration. Well, that's how we feel about the New Dodge and frankly, we've always had a special place in our hearts for red.
