‘Tis the Season: Check Out Turn Four, Auction Winners and More…

Not to interrupt the launch talk, but I thought I’d share some thoughts
from last weekend.
The Dodge Challenger 500 was a great time. While we love winning races
at Dodge, a close second was watching the Hemi Orange Dodge Challengers
pace the field. These modern day power machines looked particularly
hott under the lights Saturday night. We hosted the three kind hearted
winners of the 3 Challenger auctions. These good guys paid a combined
$800,000 for the special cars #1, #2 and #43 which benefited the United
Way, NotmyKid and Victory Junction Camp charities. Dodge is proud to
have partnered with these philanthropists and these great charities.
They each had the chance to do hot laps on the Darlington Race Track in
Challengers! And they succeeded in not striping any walls! The Dodge
product display was a hot bed of activity all weekend. The stars of the
show were two 2009 TorRed Challenger SRT8’s. A lot of the crowd
got in to the action, check out this picture of the grandstand in turn
4, taken just before the race!
Also drawing a crowd was our 2.99 Gas Guarantee program that fixes
gasoline or diesel fuel prices at 2.99 for 3 years. Checkout our
Dodge.com or see your friendly
neighborhood Dodge dealer for program details.

Time to shut this dealer down to save the SRT reputation.
Mike , You did a great job again at this event . The pace car gave me a rush and my wife could not believe it was on the track .I am waiting to get this well put together Hemi in my garage. Maybe next event we could do a smoke out for the fans.
For those of you that have your nose out of join as a result of the 2/2009 cars mentioned here…DUH…I’m sure they are the left over pre-production models that were shown at the NY auto show.
2008 are on the line now….2009 have not begun….just take a pill, relax, remember good things come to those who wait.
Come on dodge memorial day is monday, ya know parades and stuff.
Way to say it frontyardrestoguy !!! Kinda of intresting patientmopar that there are seven post on here and 5 of them are not happy! But you go ahead and be patient, it’s your right to do so, but we have a right to state our feelings as well, and as long as we don’t use profanity we should be allowed to do so.
Thats just it, nothing is going right. 3000 cars should have been built by now, minimum. there is a parking lot full of cars in brampton ontario that are lemons, and because of the veil of secrecy and the lack of information, dodge is stuck in a corner, unable to buy time. they can only talk about the next model because they strung the 2008 along so long, and now have nothing left to use to stall for time. the real kick in the nuts is the 2 2009’s being built and showcased at the race. talk about the getting left behind feeling! the 2008 is obsolete before it has been produced! how stupid are these guys!
lets face it , all the way down the line , this has been a load of crap. if dodge told me they were going to reproduce exactly the 68 charger or the 69 superbee or the 68 -69 coronet rt convertible, i would buy it, no questions asked. i really don’t like being lead to the slaughter with deafening silence.
You just insulted one of the driving forces behind building this car and getting it to the public. Dodge has quite a bit riding on this and we all know that they can’t afford to screw this up. I’m patiently awaiting my Challenger and I want the car to arrive in the best possible build. I’ve never seen a launch of any manufactured product go off perfectly. I’m hoping that a delay hit due to Dodge wanting this car to hit the streets without any defects and I’m OK with that. Keep up the good work guys.
Mike, get with the program. Why would you put out a couple of 09’s for hype, when you desperately need to appease your customers who are waiting (not so patiently)for our 08’s? You’ve managed to build two 09’s and my 08′ is still in D status. Absolutely makes no sense. Like I said, get with the program.
Mike could you please check with local management at the Brampton plant and post a undate with the production process concerning the 2008 Challengers…..Thanks Tim
and 2 2009’s. what a joke! my car is in quality control for over a week. it really doesn’t give me that warm and fuzzy feeling.
DODGE GET WITH THE PROGRAM.
I guess this is Dodges way of saying they have built 43 ’08s and 2 ’09s, go figure?
