The #43 of 6,400 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 sold for $228,143.43.

It’s in the books. We should have a nice feature on the winner AND another 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 up for charity…but with a cool twist everyone should love. Congrats to the winner and to the Victory Junction Gang Camp. Check out the final tally by clicking here.

Production Challengers begin production April 21st. The cars being made since February are Pre-Production cars not for sale to the public.

According to the factory, the first production vehicle rolled down the assembly line on February 6th. So my guess is that once the line was full (approx 5 hours) and the first car came off the end of the assembly line, they would then get one car every 10 minutes from that point forward. So do the math: 6 cars per hour X 24 hrs would be 144 cars per day. 6400 cars divided by 144 per day would take 44 total production days. But that depends on if they run seven days a week, and 24 hours per day. But I am just guessing here, and am by no means a scheduling expert. But at least I took a stab at it……any ideas by anyone else (Dodge included) please speak up. Thanks

Welcome

Back in the day, folks referred to holidays as "Red Letter Days" because of their color on calendars. They were times of excitement, tradition and celebration. Well, that's how we feel about the New Dodge and frankly, we've always had a special place in our hearts for red.
