Detroit, Jan 14, 2008 - Three passionate designs combine with three advanced propulsion systems. The result: high-tech, innovative vehicles with alternative fuel choices … and exciting design and brand character.
Chrysler LLC’s mission to be more environmentally responsible is significantly changing how we envision vehicles in our future portfolio. As the entire automotive industry has basically the same technology pool from which to draw, our design challenge remains similar to what it has always been: How do we distinguish Chrysler’s future designs from the rest of the pack? Even in this environment, we must create emotional designs, and must offer vehicles that people will really want to own and drive.
So we have challenged ourselves to unleash our design passion – in combination with these future technologies and linked to the Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge brands for our 2008 concept vehicles.
Each of the technologies must be transparent to our customers and provide an exceptional driving experience. In addition, each technology must be optimally packaged in the vehicle to ensure uncompromised comfort and function.
The Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge concept vehicles for 2008 take advantage of the unique packaging and design opportunities realized by these advanced powertrain systems.
The all-new Chrysler ecoVoyager concept, Jeep Renegade concept and Dodge ZEO concept take advantage of the best of new technologies and couple them with the room, comfort, speed and style customers will not sacrifice – allowing potential customers to still feel good about their personal impact on the environment even when simply having fun.
In designing each of the three concepts for the 2008 North American International Auto Show, Chrysler designers studied various emerging and growing customer groups to overlay their needs and expectations with Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brand values to develop the best overall fit. The result is an all-new passionate design concept for each of our three brands.

I love the efforts. I feel electric drive is where it’s at regardless of the fuel type powering it. You might consider moving away from the diesel as a range extender and going to a domestically produced fuel such as propane or CNG. CNG is readliy available at most houses and propane is abundant in 5 gal bottles at many gas stations and even big box stores. It’s time we start keeping our fuel money in the USA. Green AND economic security, wow what a concept!
For the heavier vehicles, unfortunately I think diesel is the better choice while we continue to develop better electric energy density, but combine it with an electric hybrid system. Personally, I would like to see a 4.5l diesel in a Durango with your hybrid tranny. This would give me enough power to pull my RV plus quads (can’t wait for electric for those)about 8500lbs. Right now that Hemi struggles with this load and gets terrible mileage.
Keep up the ideas…let’s make it reality!
PS. Buy AC Propulsion and make it hum!
I thought it was one of the best concepts at the show. Auto Week just named it one of their finalists for “most fun”. Nice job.
Breath-taking, beautifully proportioned design! Kudos to the design team.
You will be wise to incorporate an electric hybrid power system, and integrate thin-film photovoltaic cells into the roof glass, to assist the battery re-charging.
Please make sure this one gets built!
Awesome looking car, probably the best so far. I agree that they need to step up the interior program. But then that has always been the down fall for Chrysler. (cheap interiors) But this car looks impressive and would’nt it be neat if we could say, “That thing gotta Hemi in it.” ooooooooyeah…..
Is this going to be like the CHALLENGER.Lots of pictures but no up close and in person? If so keep it to yourself, because the other guys can DELIVER………………………………………………………………………
Awesome lookimg car and great performance.. Love it.
i like it. now make the interior nice enough that it feels like a luxury car, and you will really have something. oh yeah, don’t get caught up with recycled interior materials, it will only skyrocket the price. zero emissions is excellent but don’t get carried away by trying to be herman miller.
