NAIAS: Day One Puts 2009 Ram in the Spotlight
Jan 13, 2008 at 6:03PMDETROIT — What a kickoff. We’ll have a roundup of impressions of the Dodge Ram debut (make sure you catch the cows and the press release on the post below), some thoughts from the Dodge folks who made it possible and plenty more coverage of what Dodge has cooking around the 2008 NAIAS.
For this time of year, the weather was fairly mild, with the bank thermometer reading 43 degrees as of this post. But the glare of the global spotlight kept everyone warm inside the convention center. Hundreds of media members swarmed the show here in Detroit to take a closer look at cars from nearly every major manufacturer in the world. And the Dodge Ram got more than its share of gawkers, both with its redesign and news of a hybrid version coming in 2010.
Enough talk…Here’s some photos of the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 and some color from around Day One. Let’s hear what you think…
Many, many more photos after the jump…

Also, please tell me there will be a regular cab version available. If so, I may just have to trade in my 1998 Ram 1500 Sport for a 2010 Ram 1500 Sport with the diesel.
I love it. The stitched dash, the bumper contoured around the dual exhaust, the tailgate, etc., etc. all looks great. My only suggestion is to lose the GIANT Ram’s head on the tailgate. That just looks tacky…just like the GIANT emblem Chevy puts on their trucks.
