Hey dodge you can moderate on this. Ha, but your gauges still suck. Can’t even hardly read them especially to the far right. I guess you fellas have nothing to say what’s up with the rest of the interview.

Sorry MrKrisSullivan - I love the setup. If they would just dump that silly Ram head inside and out, I’d be 110% happy!!

I guess the only big question mark left is what is the dash going to look like. I have to admit that I am disappointed with the one in the concept car. Dodge had one of the best dashes of the muscle car era with the rallye dash. Four BIG gauges with all the info at a glance. The concept mimics the old base dash with only one big gauge, with the tach and speedo in the small gauges for god sake. Not good! That said, after looking at the teaser shots with the old gas cap, etc.. there is so much good stuff going on with the rest of the car that I could live with the small gauges. This car is really coming together. I will buy one but I have no use for automatics so I will wait for the 6 speed to arrive.Hopefully Barrington will be up next in Pt.5.

I think Castiglione is very well spoken and the insights he gives to the behind the scenes of the design process are fascinating.

His comments about having to get the lines and proportions of the windshield or bumpers right while still having to fit the modern structure of the Charger/300 C platform point out the real “challenge” as he puts it, of this design.

It’s no mean feat to work within the confines of a platform designed for a completely different car, and in the hands of a lesser designer, it could have been really bungled. The attention to detail and care that he put into the design are why the car has turned out so well, and it’s a design that I feel really honors true Mopar/Challenger fans.

I also liked the idea of coming up with a list of masculine things to incorporate into the design, like football, tribal tattoos, and beer. Good one! Michael, if we ever meet, the beer’s on me. Thank you and well done!

they did show the interior shots? its based off of looking at the block with the head taken off. showed the center console.. anyhow. it seems like they keep answering the same questions. where’d you get the inspiration.. duh the old one. what made you decide to design it that way… duh the old one… etc etc. jeez give us something new. what made you decide to hose us all and only make 5000 rather than give us what we asked for? lets see that in the video. why do we have to pay so much for a bigger engine when the hemi is cheaper to make and boring it out is no different than using a bigger drill bit (more technical.. same point)

Poor Alan Barrington, We don’t get to hear much from him because the interior design is being kept under lock and key. We need a few teaser shots of the interior, like the insturmentation.

I’m sure that Dodge will air the complete Challenger video after the car is officially released (on a Discovery Channel type station).
DVD for sale for $59.99. ;)

    I agree with Madcapp.

I think you need to make any entire video of the making of the Challenger. The inspiration, the technology, the business case, etc. and have a book that goes along with it with great pictures inside.

Challenger fans would buy them both.

Ford did that for the making of the Ford GT and it is a great read.

Two years ago after the unveiling of the Challenger, I actually suggested that to Dodge/Chrysler in an email of many marketing suggestions like that and I hope it happens. Another one I suggested is they also need to have a lot of Challenger merchandise including a masculine jewelry ring you could wear that had your vin number inside the band. How about a very nice Challenger belt buckle.

Can you tell I am crazy about this car!!!

    Just some thoughts.

He mentioned he took tons of pictures of the car when it was entirely black carbon fiber. I think I speak for everyone when I say I’d LOVE to see those!

Thanks for another video. Would make a great DVD to have all of them collected together. I’d buy one.

Welcome

Back in the day, folks referred to holidays as "Red Letter Days" because of their color on calendars. They were times of excitement, tradition and celebration. Well, that's how we feel about the New Dodge and frankly, we've always had a special place in our hearts for red.
