Interesting poll results on the new Viper colors. Initial exterior colors to be offered are GTS Blue, Venom Red and Snake Skin Green, with the balance of colors being scattered throughout the remaining model year. As you know, new Venom Red was the first color to hit the media circuit earlier this year, followed by Snake Skin Green. Personally I think the Snake Skin Green is getting a lot of attention as the media is now testing these cars with gushing feedback. Outrageous HP + wild color + mega Marketing hype = WOW Results! I can’t wait to hear the reaction from the public once they see our other new colors in the flesh.

I can tell you candidly that early in the ‘08 Viper color strategy planning, there were some who seriously questioned Snakeskin Green, as it was probably the most shocking color we proposed to date. Yet with a great color name and aggressive marketing exposure (color & car), it is interesting how more people NOW think this color is cool! I have personally spoken to Viper owners about this year’s color offerings and they are really excited about them. All colors will be offered in “limited” volume; just enough to meet demand and keep the product exciting.

The other great thing about the 2008 Viper is that there are more interior colors, stripe colors, interior finishes and wheel designs to select from than ever before. As Viper owner myself, I TOTALLY get what this car is about, so it wasn’t hard to understand the rest of “Viper Nation” passion for this car and the need for more personalization. Personalization has always been something the Viper has been about; we have just taken it to much great heights in 2008. Essentially, there are more possible color, trim and wheel combinations than what the projected volume of Vipers will be, making it possible to own a “1 of 1″ car. How awesome would that be?! And we’re only getting started…

Final Results:

1,510 Votes Total (Percentages may not add up to 100 due to rounding)

Snake Skin Green (26.2 percent)
Viper Violet (12.5 percent)
Viper Black (11.7 percent)
Viper Red (11.4 percent)
GTS Blue (10.2 percent)
Viper Very Orange (10.2 percent)
Viper Blue (9.1 percent)
Venom Red (8.9 percent)

Welcome

Back in the day, folks referred to holidays as "Red Letter Days" because of their color on calendars. They were times of excitement, tradition and celebration. Well, that's how we feel about the New Dodge and frankly, we've always had a special place in our hearts for red.
