In the Chase: Kurt Busch Guns for the Cup

“It’s been a pretty wild week, eh? With our strong finishes in the past few races in the series, we’re poised to take Dodge back into the big leagues for the last rounds of the Nextel Series.

It’s great to be among the top 12 teams making the Chase to the Championship. It’s also nice to know that we kept getting better over the first 26 races, especially as of late with Pat Tryson coming aboard.

Since the beginning of July, our group has felt like a very solid race team. We’re poised to be a threat in this series, and we’re excited for the next chapter. We have fast cars. We have consistency, and we have patience. And the best thing is we have experience.

Pat has been in the Chase as a crew chief every year since it started, which is a great asset to our team. I took a year off last year to get the team built up, but here we are and we’re ready to go.”
