Kurt Busch Talks About His Win for Dodge at MIS
Aug 24, 2007 at 2:53PMFrom our blogging friends just down the hall at the Chrysler LLC Blog comes this post from Dodge NASCAR driver Kurt Busch on his most recent victory:
“After two days of rain delays, I scored a win at MIS this week in the 3M Performance 400. We had a good, fast car, and it was a special win. I want to thank the fans who stuck it out on a Tuesday to see a green-white-checker. We put it on for them here at the end, all the restarts, all of the guys on different strategy, it really was a tough, hard-fought win. It was especially sweet to win in Michigan, the backyard of the auto industry where owner Roger Penske has a legendary heritage.
I hope to have another good finish this weekend in Bristol, home of my very first NASCAR win. Bristol is essentially a brand new race track with its re-concreted surface. I’m sure it will race very different. I’m looking to get a good, consistent finish to keep us higher up in the points…
…I’m so glad to be part of the Dodge family. Dodge is an incredible group of people who are very passionate about their racing, as well as selling their awesome cars and always willing to back us up. I’m happy to be able to showcase these great Dodge vehicles—whether it be the Charger or the Avenger—on the NASCAR circuit. I know I can count on the great folks at Dodge for support year after year and want to thank them.”
